Purpose, Vision, and Mission
These statements were overwhelmingly affirmed by the UCC Board of Directors at their fall business meeting, October 20-22, 2016.
Purpose Statement (from the Gospel of Matthew):
To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves.
United in Christ's love, a just world for all.
United in Spirit and inspired by God's grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all.

Alison Vedder, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Alison Vedder is Heidelberg’s Office Administrator. She started working with us in June of 2008. Alison graduated from Spring Grove High School, worked for Pfaltzgraff, married her husband Chris in 1987, and has three children and three grandchildren.
She loved being a stay-at-home mom in which she volunteered in many capacities, which led to her employment with the West York School District before coming to Heidelberg. She came to realize that she enjoys being a “church worker” so much that she started as the Ministry Coordinator at St. John Episcopal Church in October 2012. Alison also enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, walking, sudoku, crosswords, word games, puzzles, and television.
Susie Moon, Church Sexton
Susie Moon began serving as our sexton in 2016. She brings a dedication to her work, keeping our building spotless and making all feel welcome.
Originally from Troy, PA, she now lives in York and is delighted to have found a community that “accepts her as she is.”
